Following is from a facsimile communication from MOE to Edward Lee, City of Toronto, dated September 16, 1999 sent by Jim Martherus, Senior Environmental Officer, MOE Central region, Toronto District Office
I understand that the City's peer reviewer (Peto McCallum) and the proponent's consultant (R.V. Anderson) are working to complete the remedial action plans for the former Manson Insulation Inc. property. It is understood that all questions and answers will be documented as an appendix to the current plan and that the comments to date have been regarding expansion on certain items. Further, it has been agreed that the peer reviewer and the proponent will resolve any concerns (bought forward by the City's Public Review Committee), and that the Ministry will be consulted if they cannot agree between themselves.
As requested, please find enclosed a copy of the letters (June 16, 1999 to T. Harrison and July 28, 1999 to R. Moeser ) which outlined the Ministry's role in the Manson Decommissioning Project.
Fair enough .... and if it becomes demonstrable, it will be published here.
