This was held on April 29 and proved to be a great opportunity for distributors and canvassers to get together, enjoy a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, some cheese and crackers and good company. Thanks to everyone for making it a success and particularly to Marg Penny who, with help from Marilyn Hodge and others, planned and organized the event. All Candidates Meeting On May 31, the CCRA will co-host an All Candidate's Meeting. As always, we expect the event to be well attended and the question period lively. We look forward to working with the elected Member of Provincial Parliament in the years ahead. (result unknown as we go to press.) CCRA Membership In May and June our Membership team of hundreds, headed up by Marilyn Hodge, will be busy knocking on Centennial doors and asking you to join the CCRA for another year. The membership fee is the same - $8. If you haven't been a member in previous years, consider joining this year - the CCRA's 50th anniversary year. Manson Demolition Plans are underway to demolish the vacant Manson factory and to clean up the land. (See Planning Report for details.) The CCRA is, and always has been, committed to the health and safety of the community during this project. We are meeting with all of the parties concerned and will accept nothing less than guarantees that the asbestos removal will be safe for us all.
